Educational presentations to discuss designing high-performance collaborative spaces and networked protocols

BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems (NMS), has announced its educational presentations for InfoComm Middle East & Africa (MEA) 2015. Held at Dubai’s World Trade Center from 19 - 22 Oct., the event will feature two speaking sessions from Biamp. On 20 Oct. from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the company will present “UC&C and Huddle Spaces”, as well as “The Exploration of Networked Audio Protocols: AVB, CobraNet & Dante” on 21 Oct. from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both Biamp presentations will be held in training room 1.

In the “UC&C and Huddle Spaces” session, Dave Nazir, Biamp regional manager, Middle East & Africa will outline the audio solutions, video hardware, design considerations, and integration best practices behind today’s most successful huddle room installations. Attendees will understand how to meet the collaboration needs and opportunities of today’s huddle spaces by leveraging soft codec for audio, extending desktop capabilities to the huddle space, and bringing greater efficiency to installations through networked technologies.

“As AV solutions are increasingly integrating with IT infrastructures, huddle rooms are becoming a growing asset in today’s global team environments,” shared Nazir. “By examining what makes a huddle room successful, we examine how meeting participants can create a seamless communication experience with both high-quality audio and video.”

The second session “Exploration of Networked Audio Protocols: AVB, CobraNet & Dante”, Biamp EMEIA Applications Engineering Manager, Martin Bonsoir, will outline the specific features and functions of AVB, CobraNet and Dante protocols. He will discuss the differentiating time mechanism, IP routing of media over mixed networks, and how these protocols are not mutually exclusive. Participants will gain knowledge on selecting network options for varying AV solutions and the diverse network infrastructures of each standard.

“The pro AV industry is on the cusp of an evolution,” said Bonsoir. “With networks becoming more integrated to include everything from AV capabilities to smart building systems, success demands a keen understanding of the facts behind the available protocols. System designers and integrators need to be able to keep an eye to the future of technology during its adoption phase, while still focusing on what customers need today.”

Biamp will also provide a first-hand look into its NMS products (booth TA-A31), which includes the Tesira® DSP platform and Vocia® networked public address and voice evacuation system.
