Biamp Systems Participates in InfoComm's AV Week BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems has again opened its doors to welcome a new group of undergraduate students from the University of Portland during AV Week, which runs October 17-23, 2010.

AV Week is an international celebration of the AV industry. This is the second year that Biamp has partnered with the University of Portland's Professor Joe Hoffbeck to host students at Biamp's corporate headquarters. Biamp offers this opportunity during AV Week to educate the students on the audiovisual industry and the many employment opportunities for engineers that are available.

The students attend presentations from various Biamp engineers and receive a guided tour of Biamp's manufacturing facilities with Paula Linn, VP Manufacturing. "Education is really important at Biamp. We take great pride in our commitment to educating our employees, customers and community. AV Week provides a great opportunity to introduce these students the many opportunities available to them as engineers within the AV industry," says Matt Czyzewski, VP Business Development for Biamp Systems.

Biamp has been based in Oregon for over 30 years and has recently relocated to its new 70,000 square foot headquarters that houses both its corporate offices and manufacturing facility. "The students enjoy the opportunity to learn what it can be like after college to work for an industry-leading company like Biamp. It's impressive that Biamp continues to keep its manufacturing and administrative offices at the same location right here in Oregon," Professor Hoffbeck notes.
