The 54 MHz to 860MHz Z-Distribution REG video hub provides distribution of 134 ATSC analog channels or hundreds of digital channels including 1080 (i&p) HD channels over a structured Category cable system. The hub splits, amplifies, slopes, and recombines RF broadband signals. It also provides cascading capability for connecting to other hubs in a star topology, and bi-directional capability providing remote/reverse broadcasts from all drops.
The Z-Distribution REGs with their intelligent Z-Baluns are self-adjusting providing an overall plugand-play distribution system. A 240MHz pilot tone is controlled by Automatic Gain Control (AGC) circuits and serves as a reference signal to guarantee the consistency and level of output from each hub. The Z-Balun on the receive end of the horizontal Category cable also adjusts the signal levels to each TV according to their distance from the video hub.
- Increased technological applications: The Z-Distribution uses only 2 pair of CAT 6 cable for video distribution, leaving the remainder of the pairs available for transmission of IP or Serial data
- Improved signal quality: Our system’s Automatic Gain Control (AGC) feature automatically adjusts for signal loss at distances of up to 90meters, which ensures the best possible signal even when distributing HD video over CAT 6 at great lengths
- Easier configuration: The need for only one piece of structured Ethernet cable when distributing CATV, satellite, or video along with the flexibility of the Z-TV system setup enables simplified system configuration
