Honoring the best Crestron yacht integrations in four categories

Crestron solutions are noted for their adaptability, toughness, and reliability — all while contributing to the elegant aesthetic demanded in a superyacht project. Crestron products can live in the forefront with their timeless look and feel — or be hidden away in the background.

That is, of course, a part of what Crestron Marine dealers do: Provide solutions and adapt them to a given vessel — and the most demanding customers — perfectly. Technology integration really is a kind of practical magic — and that's especially true on the water.

Crestron Marine systems are installed in cramped spaces that are constantly in motion. They demand controls that can be customized for a wide variety of users, from ship owners to charter guests to crew. The solution needs to be completely reliable, accessible, and easy to maintain — one can't simply roll a truck to the middle of the Mediterranean.

Because these projects are so unique — and demanding — Crestron's announcing a program of awards specifically for marine integrations: the Crestron Marine Technology Awards 2024. It's an honor that tells both clients and shipyards that you're doing work that's truly defined as "best in class."

The Categories

Creston's honoring projects in four categories for the 2024 Marine Awards:

Ultimate Yacht Installation Above 60 Meters

Crestron has divided the "Ultimate Yacht" category by size. The larger of the two "Ultimate Yacht" categories was created to recognize the world's largest superyachts powered by Crestron technology. The owners of these vessels spare no expense — and demand the absolute best from every craftsperson and technician involved in the project. Both Ultimate Yacht Installation awards honor whole-vessel Crestron Marine integrations that bring a seamless, frictionless experience to everyone on board who touches the technology.

Ultimate Yacht Installation Below 60 Meters

This, the smaller of the two Ultimate Yacht Installation honors, includes the same judging parameters as its larger cousin — and further recognizes the work that goes into the world's (somewhat) smaller vessels, noting the challenges that more limited space presents.

Best Design Meets Technology Award

Every luxury yacht has its own aesthetic. This honor considers the marriage of that aesthetic and the technological solutions aboard that vessel: How does the technology blend in? How does it simply disappear where it needs to? How does it enhance the space with lighting or specific display functions? The winning project will demonstrate how tech can complement the design of a space, creating a cohesive experience.

Best Entertainment Everywhere Solution

Marine integrations require AV solutions that are available in both social areas and private cabins. From movies to music to sporting events, how is that content delivered? How easy is it to control and customize in a given space? How are connectivity challenges solved on the open water? And what kind of quality entertainment experience is delivered to each destination, from dedicated home theaters to multi-room audio and video, or from a full nightclub to an outdoor cinema?

The Details

For the 2024 awards, Crestron will consider any project completed between January 1, 2023, and February 1, 2024. The deadline for entries is February 9, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. EDT.

The work will be judged by a panel of experts from Crestron's Marine division and the broader yachting industry. The project will be judged on its overall quality, uniqueness, customer satisfaction, the look and feel of the installation, and how it solved the overall challenges presented by a particular vessel. Crestron will announce the winners at the Superyacht Technology Show Gala during a live event on March 20, 2024, in Barcelona.

The winner of each category will be awarded a trophy, a profile by Crestron on our website, and inclusion as a case study on the Crestron site as well. Crestron will also share the winning projects on our social media channels — and our winners will have ample opportunity (and support) to use the honor as a marketing tool.
